One Reason to ask for another $600 Million

Some have been sneering because the Bush Administration is about to ask for $600 million more to continue looking for those mysterious Weapons of Mass Disappearance. This may seem asinine, but there's a good reason to keep looking: at least some of this stuff must have existed, the poison gas in particular. If it's been disposed of, we need to find out where and how because if the Iraqis simply dumped it - and how much of a surprise would THAT be? - it's an environmental disaster and a hazard to anyone who lives in the area. Until questions of this sort have been answered, the search should indeed continue.
