Repug Whining Redux

They're back, the whining, crying, squalling, wetting themselves Repugs. If you're a Repug, it's OK - fun, in fact - to call Hillary Clinton a bitch, a whore, a closet lesbian - you name the filth that has poured from the Repug slime machine. But when Hillary utters a painful truth about the mindless lay figure in the White House, it's Katy bar the door:

"I sometimes feel that Alfred E. Neuman is in charge in Washington," Clinton said during the inaugural Aspen Ideas Festival, organized by the Aspen Institute, a non-partisan think tank.

The former first lady drew a laugh from the crowd when she described Bush's attitude toward tough issues with Neuman's catch phrase: "What, me worry?"

It wasn't the first time that Clinton had likened Bush to the Mad kid. In April, she told New York Daily News reporters and editors, "We're in a very dangerous fiscal situation, and this administration is Alfred E. Neuman -- what, me worry?"

Note that in April, the Repugs said nothing. But with Karl Rove's obvious complicity in treason, the noise machine has to be kicked into action to drown the incipient scandal.

This time, thank God, I don't think it's going to work. I think Karl Rove, one of the two most dangerous men in the United States - the other is Grover Norquist - is going down.
